Creative expression through henna body art - Ja'Henna

About Us

Henna is traditionally used for special occasions like holidays, birthdays and weddings in Africa, Pakistan, India, and the Middle East. The most popular of the traditions is the Mehndi (henna) Night where the bride, her family, relatives and friends get together to celebrate the wedding to come. In the western world Henna is a decorative body art typically done at festivals and some tattoo shops. For Jamaica in particular, Henna is not very widely done. Owner of Ja'Henna, Candice Peart is hoping to change this by introducing it to a wide variety of scenes particularly in Western Jamaica. The most wonderful thing about Henna is that it is not painful, not made from harmful chemicals and safe for all ages.
